Privacy Policy for The GataGoalie Academy
Effective Date: Jan 16, 2026
Last Updated: May 25, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to The GataGoalie Academy mobile application (the "App"), owned and operated by GataGoalie LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App.
This policy is a legally binding agreement between you and GataGoalie LLC. It is publicly accessible, transparent, and applies specifically to the GataGoalie Academy mobile application available across applicable mobile application platforms. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect user data that is strictly necessary to provide, support, and improve the core functionalities of the App.
2.1 Personal Information You Provide Voluntarily

  • Account Data: Name, email address, date of birth/age, and password created during registration to secure your account.

  • Payment Data: Processed securely through industry-standard, platform-approved third-party providers (such as Stripe or native app store in-app purchase systems). We do not store, collect, or transmit full credit card numbers, billing credentials, or sensitive financial data on our servers.

  • User-Generated Content (UGC): Posts, comments, training videos, and athletic accomplishments shared within the App's community features.

  • Communications: Any messages, feedback, or support tickets you send directly to our team.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Device & Usage Data: IP address, unique device identifiers, operating system version, app version, and your specific interactions with training content, video libraries, and app features.

  • Approximate Location Data: Derived solely from your IP address for regional content delivery and updates. We do not request, track, or collect precise GPS real-time location data.

2.3 Data Collected Through Third-Party Tools
Our App integrates verified third-party services (such as analytics tools and payment processors) that may independently collect data in accordance with their own privacy protocols. We disclose all data types shared with third parties in the required app platform transparency forms.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data strictly for purposes that are transparent and reasonably expected by users in the context of an athletic training application:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain training courses and track goalie progress.

  • To process subscription payments and manage your account status.

  • To enable community features such as discussion boards and leaderboards.

  • To send transactional messages, security updates, and customer support responses.

  • To ensure system security, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

  • To analyze app performance and user engagement via anonymized analytics.

We do not use your data for any purpose beyond what is described in this policy without first obtaining your explicit, affirmative consent.
4. Children’s Privacy & Platform Families Compliance
The GataGoalie Academy is a training platform that may be accessed by minors, including children under the age of 13. We are fully committed to compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and all applicable app store children and family protection guidelines.

  • Verifiable Parental Consent: For users under 13, we require verifiable parental consent through the registration or subscription purchase process, which requires an adult to complete a monetary transaction or authorize account creation.

  • Limited Data Collection: We do not require a child to disclose more personal information than is reasonably necessary to use the App's training features.

  • No Persistent Behavioral Tracking: For users identified as children under 13, we do not collect, utilize, or transmit advertising identifiers or any other persistent device tokens for behavioral tracking or targeted advertising.

  • Compliant Integrations: Any third-party tools integrated into the App that process data from children are strictly vetted to ensure compliance with children’s data privacy frameworks.

  • Parental Rights: Parents and guardians may at any time exercise their rights by contacting us at joe@gatagoalie.com to:

    • Review the personal information we have collected from their child.

    • Request corrections or updates to that information.

    • Request the permanent deletion of their child's account and all associated personal data.

    • Revoke consent and discontinue their child's use of the App.

5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your data only under the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted vendors (hosting, analytics, payment processing) who are contractually bound to keep your data confidential, secure, and use it only to provide services on our behalf.

  • Community Features: Content you post in public discussion boards or achievements on leaderboards are visible to other registered users. Please be mindful of what you share.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or the public.

  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred. We will provide prominent notice before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Data Deletion & Account Deletion
Users—and parents/guardians of child users—have the right to delete their account and all associated personal data at any time.
In accordance with strict application store guidelines, if you created your account within the app, you can easily initiate permanent account and data deletion both inside the application and online. When you request account deletion, all personal data associated with your account is permanently deleted or completely anonymized from our active servers and any third-party service provider systems within 30 days.
How to Request Deletion:

  • In-App Path: Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the App.

  • By Email: Send an email request to joe@gatagoalie.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."

Note on Community Content: Content posted in public community sections (e.g., discussion boards) may remain visible after account deletion but will be completely anonymized—your name, avatar, and identifying details will be permanently and irreversibly removed. We do not retain data for longer than required for legitimate legal, security, or financial regulatory obligations (such as payment transaction history).
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our training services. If you delete your account, your data will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g., tax, accounting, or financial transaction auditing).
8. Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Depending on your geographic location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information:
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

  • Right to know what personal information is collected, used, and shared.

  • Right to request deletion of your personal information.

  • Right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell your data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising).

  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

EEA/UK Residents (GDPR/UK GDPR)

  • Right of access, rectification, or erasure ("right to be forgotten") of your data.

  • Right to restriction of, or objection to, processing.

  • Right to data portability and the right to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at joe@gatagoalie.com. We respond to all verified requests within 30 days.
9. In-App Consent & Prominent Disclosures
Where our App requires access to sensitive device permissions or collects personal data, we adhere to strict user transparency standards:

  • We will present a clear, unambiguous in-app disclosure dialog before collecting or transmitting any data that falls outside the primary core expectations of the app.

  • We require an affirmative user action (e.g., tapping "Accept" or checking an un-pre-checked box) to provide consent. We do not use auto-dismissing dialogs or treat navigation away as consent.

  • Disclosures are integrated natively into the app flow and are easily accessible.

10. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard user data, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS protocols.

  • Secure cloud storage of personal data on protected, firewalled servers.

  • Access controls restricting data visibility only to authorized personnel.

While we take rigorous steps to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-Party Links & Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those external entities. We highly encourage you to review their privacy policies before interacting with them.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app features or regulatory requirements. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting a prominent notice within the App interface, and/or

  • Sending an email to the address associated with your account.

The updated policy will be effective immediately upon posting, indicated by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
